On the second floor of the antique Town Hall, the resistance museum represents an important area for Chiusa di Pesio, prepared at the end of a long engagement of reflection and historical research started during the eighties regarding the events of the Partisans in the Pesio Valley and in general regarding the Resistance period, here set in a not only local outlook but also in a national one. The route includes the exhibition "The paths of memory", a permanent setting up with historical material of great emotional impact: objects, printed material, films and sound documents are exhibited. Starting from the history of the territory by means of flexible, expositive and multimedia paths, it is possible to deepen the particular aspects regarding the war years. The visitor can take two paths: the red one develops the theme "Nineteenth-century, the century of wars", while the yellow one is concentrated on the "Paths of liberty in the Valleys Iosina, Pesio, Ellero, Maudagna and Corsaglia".

There are also documental archives, a specialized library, a didactic workshop and an information position at disposal of the visitor. The purpose is to create an open space for discussion, study and the sharing of memories in order to create archives of "individual memories" in tight relationship with the territory.
