The naturalistic route
Equipped from the park for guided visits with the schools, a very easy path (also suitable for children) alternatively on asphalt roads has been realized from the Certosa di Pesio to the Pian delle Gorre. It represents the best approach to the Natural Park since it is completely signalled and equipped with naturalistic divulgation boards.
You start from the square Certosa di Pesio and you walk up along the S. Bruno Valley named after the founder of the Carthusian order. You leave the unsurfaced road after 200 m and you turn right on the path that leads to the first naturalistic divulgation stopping place. You proceed intersecting the road of the Cavallo Valley and you arrive across a nice noble broad-loaved wood at the Equipped Area Dompè where it is possible to supply water. From here you go along the Pesio which forms some nice blades and you reach the Equipped Area Ardua where you can find the guarding hut of the park-keeper. Now the path enters the silver fir wood at the beginning of the road which will be re-crossed after about 800 m when the path goes back along the Pesio after having crossed a bridge. Proceed on the unsurfaced road for 1 km and you'll join a crossroad. Here turning right you'll reach the Faunal Observatory in about 20 minutes, an enclosure used for the reintroduction of the deer and where you can notice both the wall of the Pis del Pesio as well as the slopes of the Punta Mirauda. Turning left instead you re-cross the Pesio, you walk up along the Saut stream and after other 2 footbridges you arrive at the beautiful clearing of the Pian delle Gorre.
