The some rks ers. es in 1984 finishing a very long artisanal and artistic tradition, which exported the name of Chiusa over the reGarelli Refuge and the Marguareis Valley

You start at 1.000 m height from the square near the Refuge Pian delle Gorre and you take the unsurfaced road on the left of the refuge. After one and a half km you reach the junction in the place Saut near the nice falls (45 min.) and you turn left. You go up a steep path among the attracting fir-wood of the Buscaiè for about 30-40 minutes and you arrive at Gias Sottano di Sestrera, first transformed alp if the Valley. Here you turn left and you go steep up in the wood for about one hour till the firs change into a service tree, alder and rhododendron wood. Proceed without losing height and you arrive at  Gias Soprano di Sestrera (2 hours), where you can notice the outline of the Refuge Garelli (2.000 m) reachable in less than half an hour (3 hours). From the Refuge, at the back of the Marguareis walls, you arrive at the homonym Valley, which goes along a small lake. From here you start going down on the path that goes to two transformed alps of the Marguareis Valley. You enter again the wood and arrive at Gias Sottano di Sestrera; then you reach the forest road of the Saut which goes to Pian delle Gorre (5 hours). You take the unsurfaced road on the left of the Refuge Gorre and take after 200 m the path on the left which goes up to the Serpentera Valley and to Pian del Cros (45 min.) at 1289 m height. You cross the plain and the attracting stream and proceed in the Valley. Here you can supply water at the Mantras fountain and then proceed till the grass hillock of Gias Madonna (1 h and 45 min. 1.650 m). From here you go down slowly and you take the path on the right which brings you along the hillside till Gias della Costa (2h and 30 min). Proceed without losing height and arrive at Gias Soprano di Sestrera (3 h) where you can notice the outline of the Refuge Garelli (2000 m) which you reach in less than half an hour (3 hours and 30 minutes).
