The first known and reported climbing with start from Carnino, happened in the XIX century by Lorenzo Pareto, famous biologist and politician. The most classic climbing itinerary is the one which crosses the Canalone dei Genovesi and the following Cresta Ovest. The canyon is about 600 m long with slopes till 45°; it is covered with snow till late in the season and therefore you need equipment for winter mountaineering in order to climb it.
