Scarason
The overhanging wall on the northern side of the Marguareis Massif, represents since always a great challenge for climbers and mountaineers. Alessandro Gogna and Paolo Armando were the first ones to overcome the wall in 1967. About ten years later the venture will be repeated by Gianni Comino and Celso Rio. Sergio Calvo, Andrea Parodi and Fulvio Scotti trace out a very difficult direct road in 1987 with three camps pending in the emptiness. At least to remember the venture by Marco Bernardo, who in 1981 overcame alone during wintertime the fearful road Gogna/Armando. The climbing of the Scarason was also one of the ventures made by Patrick Berhault between 2000 and 2001 when he crossed in 167 days the entire Alpine arc conquering the most difficult summits.
