The karstification that characterises the territory established the presence of some particular phenomenon like the resurgence of the waters. This is the case with the Pis del Pesio, a horizontally extended cavity at about 1450 m height, which collects the waters from the above Basin of Carsene and the Hill of Malabera, in order to come out with a fall of about 30 metres. The carstic resurgences of the Pis together with the Vene and the Gorge delle Fascette ones in the Upper Tanara Valley, testimony of the existence of a very wide underground cavity system.
