Its role is to preserve the vegetal heritage with particular care towards the rare species and threatened with extinction. The Centre experiments and develops locally the strategies established by the international scientific community, based on the in situ conservation, that is in natural places, in order to protect the biodiversity of the region. The Centre contributes to the reset of rare biotopes, it keeps an eye on the evolution of the biologic diversity and promotes researches and conservation activities on the species and on the vulnerable habitat.
