It rises in the neighbourhood of the Certosa. The construction was started during the summer of 1945, some months after the end of the war with the voluntary contribution of the ex-partisans. The cemetery was finished in its essential parts during the following year with the burial of the first bodies, transported from the old war cemetery to the Pian delle Gorre. The work was finished in 1992 only.
